Portfolio
I’ve been a web developer for around ten years, during which time I’ve had two web development books published and become a long-standing beta tester for Adobe. As a full–on geek, I’m passionate about web standards to the point that I lose sleep agonising over markup. Despite that, I also have a life and spend my spare time going to gigs, taking photos and cooking vegetarian meals, as my Flickr account will confirm.
To date, my career can be divided up into the following chunks:
- Fawthrop McLanders: Digital Media [current position]
- The Eye Fund [charity work]
- Trig.com (Adocca Entertainment AB)
- Conker Media (Mersey TV)
- Friends of ED (Apress)
- Freelance

Trig.com (Adocca Entertainment AB)
Web Developer: Stockholm, Sweden
My time there was spent mainly as a front-end developer, writing and maintaining standards-compliant HTML & CSS, but also included copywriting (I wrote the FAQ, Help, and Using Trig pages), public relations, and marketing. This involved anything from being the official press release voice of Trig, through to liaising closely with bands such as Lostprophets and Funeral For A Friend to help give them the look they need and fine tune the site to musicians needs.
Linkage used: HTML, CSS, Ruby on Rails, Photoshop & Fireworks, and copywriting
