Back in the UK

Back in the gloomy UK after a week in the Mediterranean sun… and boy, does it suck.

My parents spend a few weeks near Estepona every year, so we thought we’d join them this time. We had a fantastic time. At times, I felt like I was in California; palm tree–lined roads, place names like San Pedro, Santa Clara, etc. The sun was relentless, the pool wasn’t too busy, the sea was crystal clear (and full of colourful fish!), the San Miguel was cold, and the veggie paella was gorgeous.

My brother was there with his family, too. His four–year old, Will, is utterly fearless in the pool. He spent all day jumping in and providing much hilarity.

We’re hoping to return next year, maybe for longer, but it depends on lots of other things.

In the meantime, I shall sulk that I’m back in this country. Meh.
