A fair bit has happened in the last few months, so I thought I should update here.
We moved further North to Gateshead, so that I could be nearer to my job. Last week, after a few months of bad management and shocking communication, I was told my position was to be made redundant. Now, I’m back to being freelance. As cliché as it sounds, it’s like a massive weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
I’ve spent the last few months working on a very exciting project which is due to go live in the next week or so: Urban Digger. The couple behind UD hunted me down at a Twestival and asked me to come on board. It all sounded very much like working on Trig, so I jumped at it. I won’t say too much about it here, but you should definitely sign up to find out more. This project also gave me the opportunity to work with the awesome guys at Hedgehog Lab, who I’ll be working with again very soon.
Around this time last year, I did some work for Scholastic. I’m delighted to say that I’m working for them once again. I love Horrible Histories, so this is great news. I also get to work with some great people — and John Oxton.
Of course, I’m still involved with The Eye Fund, and I’ll be reworking that site in the upcoming months with the help of The Missus (@loveli). While I’m on the subject of The Eye Fund, I’d just like to extend another THANK YOU to the guys of Speak The Web, who donated £500 to our charity. Great work, fellas.
